FPL EASMENTS

What is an FPL easement?

 

An easement is a legal right to do something on another person's land. Easements. provide FPL and other utilities a legal right to access public or private land for specific. purposes such as: » the construction and installation of power lines, poles and other equipment.

 

FPL controls transmission easements in 50 counties in the State of Florida. Easements allow us to efficiently use parcels of land we do not own.

 

The easement gives FPL permission to enter the property to install, maintain, repair, or replace underground power lines and other equipment. The standard easement area is 10 feet by 10 feet, but it may vary depending on the field conditions. 

 

Easements are required when installing electrical lines and equipment on private property, but not for the electrical line that connects the property to FPL's electric system. Easements typically don't expire and remain in force even when the property is sold. 

It has come to our attention that there is some misinformation going about the “PlatVine’ regarding Community Engagements Amazon Wishlist. A misinformed homeowner has accused the HOA Board of wanting to buy unnecessary things when so much needs to be done in our community. I quickly educated the homeowner during the meeting, but wanted to make it clear on all of my communication avenues.

 

The DVP1 Community Engagement Amazon WhishList was created by Community Engagement and the Fun Committee. The Wishlist was created to allow homeowners that wish to bless our community with items that will benefit us all. We have many neighbors that are our Patrons. Some silently purchasing things off the list and sending them to us. We appreciate them all so much.

 

Yes, there is a rather large item on the list. I wanted to fill the corner of dead space at the pool with a conversation area. I was hoping some of my neighbors would pitch in with myself and two of our other neighbors to purchase it. Its too much for us to do alone. We need 20 of our neighbors to donate $32 each. I already have 3 Pledges, not including myself. If I can get another 16 patrons, we’ll be all set. We can then get this for the pool area. And yes, you can send Amazon gift cards.

 

Everything on the list is for DVP1 Fun Committee and Community Engagement to use for events, holidays etc. I’m using borrowed tables and a borrowed canopy. I donated ours to the community as we don’t use it much anymore, but it is old and the fabric is starting to fray.  If our events fall on a day when the owners need their property, then we’ll be out of luck.

 

I don’t ask for anything for myself. I just want to create a pleasing atmosphere for our community to enjoy.
